Twitter is catching on like wildfire in Columbus, but figuring out who to follow (and, more importantly, who not to follow) can be tricky, especially at first.  Here are 10 Twitter accounts that we believe are worth checking out.  These are not endorsements; rather they are the ones we have found most informative, entertaining and/or useful in some way.

• Aaron Portzline
  • Columbus Dispatch reporter covering the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Sends live game tweets-- very cool.
• ColsUnderground
  • Great articles, events, restaurant reviews of Columbus.  Official tweets on ColumbusUnderground.com. 
• NBCMonica
  • Real-time traffic updates each weekday morning.  Help avoid accidents and congestion.
• ColumbusTweets
  • The official tweets from this site, ColumbusOhioOnline.com.
• ExpCols
  • Frequent tweets about event dates and times around Columbus from Experience Columbus.
• DispatchAlerts
  • Breaking news from the Columbus Dispatch.  Tends to tweet frequently and the formatting of the tweets is not great (not always that informative,) however the intention is good.  Tweets come out in droves each morning.
• WOSU
  • One of Columbus' local NPR stations.  Tweets key stories throughout the day focusing on Columbus and Ohio, in general.
• Columbus_Crew, BlueJackets, CLBClippers
  • Official Twitter sites for some of Columbus, Ohio's major sports teams.
• ColumbusZoo
  • The name says it all:  tweets from Columbus' highly-rated zoo.  
• ColumbusParent
  • Tweets about family and parenting events and info.
